Holidays & Special Events
Memorial Day brings the Blues Fest with big bands and barbecue. On the Fourth of July and Labor Day we hold a Great American Barbecue with lots of food and fun. Santa is a frequent visitor at Christmas - Nehalem Bay Winery is one of his favorite stops. The tasting room shop is full of ideas for unique gifts for the winter holidays. And there's bound to be a party!
Take a look at our wide varieties of parties, weddings and receptions!
The winery hosts private special events all year round such as weddings, receptions, and even a Senior Prom. We'd be happy to talk to you about planning and hosting your next special gathering either here at the winery, at the beach or we can come to you.
Over the years we've had thousands of wonderful visitors. People come to the winery from all over the world year round. We were visited by a group of antique car collectors, complete with period clothing, stopping for awhile on their tour. The cars were awesome, with the sun reflecting off their shiny hoods. It could have been Sunday at the winery in the 20s or 30s - and perhaps for awhile it was!
And a wagon train came rolling onto our grounds and camped overnight at the winery! It was the only wagon train to travel the original route from Independence, MO to Independence, OR. The wagon train continued its trip from Independence to Astoria because of the historical significance of the Lewis and Clark expedition.
From the Wild West to the wild sixties, along came Ken Kesey, with his wonderful psychedelic bus (do you remember the Merry Pranksters?) to stay a few days and play with those joining us at the winery. Ken became a frequent visitor over the years. We miss him - may he rest in peace.
We are one of the few wineries in the world with a NASCAR aficionado on the staff. Come in and talk to John and see some of his memorabilia.
Everyday, people stop and visit the "Fun Friends" at the Nehalem Bay Winery!
